Isobel Ralston, PhD

Pre-Clinical Development

Isobel Ralston has over 22 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Currently, she is President of Torealis Research Inc. She has a great deal of experience in managing project project teams and has successfully managed development of numerous candidates lead compound declaration through to completion of Phase II. Throughout her career she has been involved in all aspects of clinical and pre-clinical drug development and has been involved with over 35 start-up pharmaceutical/medical device companies.

Isobel worked  at Solvay Pharma for 8 years, serving as Manager for Regulatory Affairs and then as Director, Scientific Affairs. At Solvay, Isobel successfully completed nine high priority clinical programmes. Isobel has also worked at Dupont Canada for their medical devices division, as a Regulatory Affairs Associate for  Ortho Pharmaceutical Canada, and as a biochemist for Diversified Research Laboratories of Toronto, Canada.

Isobel holds a PhD from the University of Alberta. Isobel was subsequently a research Associate at the Universität Zürich in Switerland before returning to the University of Alberta for post-doctoral studies.
