Denis A. Ferkany

Director of Corporate Strategy

Mr. Ferkany brings 30 years experience in senior management, business and product development, and strategic alliances in both private industry and public-private partnerships to the ICAV management team. He was most recently the President of the Greater Peterborough Region DNA Cluster, a not-for-profit corporation and regional partnership for economic development. As President, Mr. Ferkany was responsible for leadership, government relations, and corporate and organizational development of this startup technology transfer and commercialization business.

Mr. Ferkany was the Director of Business Development for LAB Interlink Inc. in Omaha, Nebraska, responsible for building and managing relationships with in-vitro diagnostic instrument manufacturers and then became Managing Director of Canadian Operations in Peterborough, Ontario, leading the Canadian division of this clinical laboratory automation manufacturing company. Mr. Ferkany was a member of the Senior Management team for CRS Robotics Corporation in Burlington, Ontario, holding various roles in business development and marketing/sales including Manager Robot Automation Sales and Manager of Clinical Automation. He was also President and Co-Founder in 1988 of the Biomedical Devices Company (BDC) in Pontiac, Michigan, acknowledged as the pioneering provider of task-dedicated modular laboratory automation. Mr. Ferkany is a 1970 graduate of Oakland University in Michigan.
