Wendy Hill, MSc

Director of Clinical Development

Ms. Hill has over 25 years experience in drug development in a variety of therapeutic areas including cancer, inflammation, infectious, and cardiovascular disease. Her broad-based experience includes preclinical proof-of-concept and clinical research, regulatory and government affairs, quality assurance, medical information and drug safety, as well as developing strategic marketing plans and supporting licensing activities.

Ms. Hill has held senior management positions in both pharmaceutical and biotech companies including Director of Research at Knoll Canada, where she played a key role in designing and conducting international clinical studies from Phase I through Phase III and approval for an anti-TNF antibody and several anti-thrombotics. As Senior Director for Clinical Research at GlycoDesign, Ms. Hill oversaw all aspects of the company’s cancer and anti-thrombotic programs including preclinical proof-of-concept, formulation development and Phase I and Phase II clinical studies. In her position of R&D Director, Inflammation and Neurology, at Amgen Canada Ms. Hill provided strategic input to the marketing department, designed and initiated Phase IV protocols in rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis and conducted Phase II trials in osteoporosis and Parkinson’s disease.

Ms. Hill holds an MSc in Epidemiology and Community Health from Queen’s University. She is currently an Advisor for Life Sciences under the MaRS Advisory Services and runs her own consulting business – Gap Strategies.
